Open daily for ski tourers until 10:00 p.m. (as long as run number 20 is open)
During the winter months, the Asten run (as long as it is open - No. 20) is open daily until 10 p.m. for ski touring! Enjoy yourself and do one of the most popular descents - the Hahnenkamm - in the evening.
Ski tourers can march to the Kitzbühel local mountain every evening on the Asten run (No. 20). Snow groomer drivers usually work intensively on the descent for the next day. The "slope groomers" take special consideration for our ski touring enthusiasts. This creates a time window for risk-free tours - and that very close to the "Gamsstadt".
10 rules for ski tourers
The following rules were issued by the Alpine Safety Board. Ski slopes are primarily available to users of the cable cars and lifts. In order to avoid accidents and conflicts, we ask you to observe the following recommendations in addition to the FIS rules of conduct:
:: Observe warnings and local regulations
:: Follow the blocking of a slope or part of a slope. Life-threatening situations can arise when snow groomers are in operation - especially with winches - or when there are avalanches, etc.
:: Slopes can therefore be closed for the duration of the work for safety reasons
:: Only climb up at the edge of the slope and one behind the other
:: Only cross the piste at clear places and with a sufficient distance from each other
:: Only use freshly prepared slopes in the edge area. Traces frozen over night can seriously affect the quality of the slopes
:: Leave the slopes at the specified time (depending on the location!)
:: To make yourself visible. Use a headlamp, reflective clothing, etc. in the dark or in poor visibility.
:: Only use these on slopes especially dedicated to slope tours.
:: Do not take dogs on slopes
:: Use designated parking spaces and pay any parking fees
